Year Round Tax Service was established to assist small local businesses throughout the Santa Cruz County area. It is our belief that regardless of how small a business may be, proper bookkeeping is absolutely essential for a healthy and prosperous future.

My name is Heather McTavish and I live in Capitola with my husband Marcus, and our son Colby. I am so thankful every day to live in paradise, and be business partners with my husband. My hobbies include gardening, pilates, zumba, and horseback riding. I also love to cook and travel. The reason why I love to travel is because I like to live, breath, and even taste each different culture the world has to offer.
I am a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I majored in Accounting and Finance. I am currently a CPA as well as an EA. I have been preparing individual, trust, partnership and corporate income tax returns since 2001.
I really enjoy helping my client's solve tax situations so that they feel empowered, rather than fearful of taxing authorities because my client's know that their finances are in good hands.
I am also great problem solver. I can go into consulting with client's on any QuickBooks issues they may be encountering, as well as educating clients on how to properly set up a company's books .

I am a graduate of San Jose State University’s Boccardo Business College where I majored in Accounting and Business Administration. I am also registered with CTEC and licensed with the IRS. I have been preparing individual, trust, partnership and corporate income tax returns since 2004 and really enjoy helping my clients. I currently have over 400 happy clients and am still accepting new ones.
Tax research and planning are my primary interests, and I would love to help you minimize your tax liability. When I am not at the office you can find me at one of several Yoga classes or perhaps at Pleasure Point riding a few waves with friends.
Hi my name is Niki Clark and I'm the office manager. I moved from the hot Central Valley to Santa Cruz in 2000. I love the climate and the diverse, friendly people in Santa Cruz County. I have worked in several offices in the Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley area and I am ecstatic to be a part of the Year Round Tax Service team.
Heather and Marcus are a dynamic team that bring a strong work ethic and intelligence to providing tax and accounting services in a modern office. I enjoy interacting with the clients face-to-face or on the phone to provide excellent customer service and answer their questions in a timely manner. Our office is a wonderful environment that promotes a sense of humor! When clients come to our office stressed out, they leave with a smile and a sense of relief that they are in good hands.
I enjoy learning new information and every day I increase my knowledge of taxes and accounting. At Cabrillo College, I have completed classes in accounting procedures and QuickBooks. At the office, I enjoy working in QuickBooks accurately while listening to my Jazz music plus organizing client's information and keeping the office running smoothly.
My outside activities include: volunteering at the Santa Cruz Literacy Program, walking my dogs on the beach, biking, reading, and riding horses in the mountains with my husband.
This coming 2015 tax season will be my fourth tax season. Our office becomes a busy, efficient machine during tax season; I look forward to assisting new clients and repeat clients with their tax questions. I am here to support and assist everyone.
